RYZA PROJECT

An inward journey through yoga and music

Ryza Project was created in 2015 from Anastasia Biliri and Glafkos Smarianakis. Anastasia guides practices of Hatha, Bhakti, Raja and Nada Yoga and Glafkos accompanies the sessions with his violin, lute and wonderful voice, and takes us on a journey through a constant improvisation of melodies from Western to Eastern traditions.

Music and Yoga

Sound has an incredible ability to wake up the lazy mind and center the overactive. It effortlessly moves our 'seat' to another perhaps richer space, that of the heart. The emotions it can bring out in combination with movement, mantras and breath can be a wonderful canvas for observation, transformation and cleansing.

Traditional practices of Yoga blend within us with world music. How compatible these two are is proof that they all come from the same primordial root, the same universal source, and reflect and emerge from deeper aspects of human existence.

In the beginning was the Word... All things were made by him

In Samkhya, Yoga and Tantra, this word/sound is called Om. Everything in nature, the trees, the animals, the rivers, the planets, us, the other sounds, all are an evolution of this primal vibration called Nada Brahman. We are literally made of sound and so, it is no wonder that sound, our Source, is the only medium that can penetrate so deeply and have such a transformative effect.

Ryza Project conducts intensive workshops throughout Greece. Music and yoga have the same purpose. To create a powerful shift in our mental, emotional and psychic state. To transform and to uplift. Something magical happens when, with subtleness and sensitivity, these two come together. We invite you to explore it together.
